In 1972, I made a nail boat for my mom for Christmas. A collection of wood scraps, nails, and what ever else I could get my hands on in Dad's wood shop, the nail boat is more about the time spent thinking about someone you love while you assemble something you can gift wrap and share. My love of woodworking was one of many creative things encouraged by my Mom and Dad.
Today, I focus on custom engraving, hand crafted cutting boards and charcuterie sets for friends and family and their loved one's special moments. If you are on this site, you likely received one of my products. I hope every time you use it, you think of the person who gave it to you and a gigantic smile envelops your face!
Each piece is designed to recall loving memories of happy times together. No two pieces are alike. And where ever possible, I use salvaged woods from meaningful regions of the world to offer multiple uses for the species, enhanced longevity of the product, and to add to the story between the piece and the person who gifted it to you. Thank you for trusting Nail Boat Wood Arts with your creative gift.
